Today's thought
Proverbs 21:2 says, "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts."
What's interesting in this scripture is that the Bible says that the eyes are the window to the soul. The Bible also declares in 1 Corinthians 13:12, "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." I have often been asked a question in the ministry over the past few years, how do you know its God telling you what to do? Two criteria will have to be met. Number one, if the way you are living or whatever you are doing is contrary to the word of God, then that way is not right. Doing good never opposes God. There is always an opportunity to reach out and do good to others. That's what the Bible commands us to do. Second, you will feel the unction or touch of the Holy Spirit. The presence of God through the Holy Spirit guides us to live right and to do and say the right things. He, the Holy Spirit, helps us know that God is speaking to us. In the end, it is the Lord who examines the heart of man. God knows when our intention is to receive glory for what we have done. This should not be. The Lord God deserves all the Glory. The Lord has given us the victory through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. To God be the Glory great things He has done.
