A 27 year old security officer is lucky to be alive after taking a terrible beating over the week-end. Police that the guard was on duty and walking through an apartment complex when he was jumped by at least two males.
One of the men hit the security officer several times in the head with a metal pipe while the second man kicked and spit on the security officer.
No arrests have been made but police say that the attack may be the result of a vehicle that had been towed off the property the previous night for parking on a sidewalk.
The security officer's injuries are serious but he is expected to survive police said.
